2024-11-07 Endevica Bio Results Melanocortin-4 receptor antagonist TCMCB07 alleviates chemotherapy-induced anorexia and weight loss in rats endevicabio.com ↗
Our results indicate that peripheral administration of TCMCB07 improved appetite, stabilized body weight, preserved fat and heart mass, and slightly protected lean mass after multiple cycles of chemotherapy.
2023-10-28 Endevica Bio Results Safety of TCMCB07, a melanocortin-4 antagonist peptide, in dogs with naturally occurring cachexia endevicabio.com ↗
Significant changes detected included increased mean body weight (18.6-19.5 kg, P < .02), increased body condition score (median Tufts 5-point thin dog scale score P < .004 and WSAVA muscle condition score P < .02) and increased mean blood urea nitrogen (21.79-30.43 mg dL−1, P < .004).
2023-05-20 Endevica Bio Results Preliminary data from the phase I study of TCMCB07, a study to assess the safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of the melanocortin antagonist TCMCB07 in healthy subjects. endevicabio.com ↗
In a preliminary analysis of the results, there were no subjects with abnormal vital signs, no subjects with abnormal electrocardiograms, and no drug-related serious adverse events.
2023-05-20 Endevica Bio Results Effect of melanocortin-4 receptor antagonist TCMCB07 on chemotherapy-induced anorexia and weight loss in rats. endevicabio.com ↗
Total food intake over 21 days was significantly increased in Cis/TCMCB07 vs Cis/saline group (p = 0.0006) and 5-FU/TCMCB07 vs 5-FU/saline group (p = 0.0134), and decreased in Cis/saline vs Saline/saline group (p = 0.001), but was no significant change in Cis/TCMCB07 vs Saline/saline group and 5-FU/saline or 5-FU/TCMCB07 vs Saline/saline group.
2022-05-01 Endevica Bio Results Development of a Therapeutic Peptide for Cachexia Suggests a Platform Approach for Drug-like Peptides endevicabio.com ↗
Based on this, we designed an MC4R antagonist peptide, TCMCB07, that successfully treated many forms of cachexia.
