Daewoong Pharmaceutical-Lundbeck Korea enter co-promotion contract for Ebixa Tab., a medication for the Alzheimer’s. - Co-promotion will apply to all parts of sales and marketing targeting general hospitals and clinics in Korea from August. - Daewoong Pharmaceutical’s distinguished 4-step marketing strategies and Lundbeck Korea’s product excellence expected to create synergies. Daewoong Pharmaceutical (CEO Sengho Jeon) and Lundbeck Korea (CEO Pil Soo Oh) announced on the 12th that they have entered the co-promotion contract for Ebixa Tab. (Memantine HCI), a medication for the Alzheimer’s. Daewoong Pharmaceutical and Lundbeck Korea will jointly promote sales and marketing of Ebixa Tab. targeting the general hospitals and clinics in Korea from upcoming August 1. Memantine, the active ingredient of Lundbeck Korea’s Ebixa Tab., is an NMDA (N-methyl-D-aspartate) receptor antagonist and relieves the symptoms by inhibiting the excess stimulation of NMDA receptors in the brains of the Alzheimer’s patients.
