제목 없음 Hanmi pharmaceutical novel rheumatoid arthritis drug, EULAR poster presentation Hanmi Pharmaceuticals (President & CEO Gwan Sun Lee) announced that they presented poster regarding interim clinical data results of the next generation of rheumatoid arthritis drug, HM71224, in EULAR 2014 Paris from June 11th through 14th. HM71224 is a novel autoimmune-targeted drug that selectively inhibits Bruton’s Tyrosine Kinase(BTK), significant enzyme in activation of B-cell in human body. HM71224 can be used efficiently for the treatment of autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis occurred by an abnormality of immune system. During EULAR 2014, Hanmi Pharmaceuticals presented the interim report of ongoing phase 1 study targeting 58 healthy volunteers in Netherlands. According to the presentation, a proportional absorption of HM71224 in body to increasing dose was observed in healthy volunteers from both single dose and multiple doses. It also indicated that the results were not affected by food intake. “BTK inhibitor attracts attention as one of novel autoimmune disease drugs, because the drugs with novel mechanism of action are highly required to be developed for autoimmune diseases at the moment. We will do our best to initiate global phase 2 study with HM71224 in the second half of 2014.” said the representative from Hanmi.
