【Notice】Toray Warns Companies to Cease Unauthorized Use of its Trade Name and TRK-950 Antibody Name

Tokyo, Japan, August 7, 2025 – Toray Industries, Inc., announced today that it has issued cease and desist letters to several companies operating websites overseas, that are fraudulently using its trade name and the name of TRK-950, its investigational monoclonal antibody, to market unrelated products. Toray is conducting clinical trials for TRK-950, which binds to and attacks cancer cells. Toray does not sell TRK-950 online and has not licensed its patents for TRK-950 or other anti-CAPRIN-1 antibodies to any of these companies. Neither Toray nor any of its Group companies manufactures, authorizes, or distributes anything labeled “Toray patent anti-Caprin1.” The company will continue to uphold patient trust and protect and enhance its brand value by taking firm action, including legal measures, against the unauthorized use of its trade name or other intellectual property rights.
