AriBio, Attends BIO USA 2025, Pursues Major Deal for Alzheimer’s Treatment ‘AR1001’ AriBio announced on the 12th that it will participate in the 2025 BIO International Convention (hereafter BIO USA), which will be held in Boston, USA, for four days from June 16 (local time) to 19. During the event, the company plans to pursue a major licensing deal for its Alzheimer’s treatment, AR1001. BIO USA, the world’s largest biotechnology exhibition, with participation from over 1,800 pharmaceutical and biotech companies from around the globe. AriBio has been expanding its partnering opportunities with global pharmaceutical firms by attending BIO USA and BIO Europe each year. Attending the event on behalf of AriBio will be Fred Kim, Head of the U.S. office, and Dr. Tanya Xi, Director of Development Strategy. The team plans to hold over 40 meetings on site with global big pharma companies. Fred Kim, Head of AriBio’s U.S. office, stated, “We will focus on securing major deals with big pharma targeting key markets such as North America, Europe, and Japan,” adding, “Our goal is to finalize a major licensing deal around the time of the topline data release next year.” On June 10, AriBio signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Arcera, a subsidiary of the UAE sovereign wealth fund ADQ, covering the Middle East, Latin America, Africa, and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The deal, valued at $600 million (approximately KRW 820 billion), was made possible through KDB Industrial Bank’s Global Partnership Support Program. Previously, AriBio had signed technology licensing agreements for AR1001 worth KRW 100 billion with Samjin Pharmaceutical and KRW 1.02 trillion with a Chinese pharmaceutical company. The cumulative value of AR1001 licensing deals now amounts to approximately KRW 1.94 trillion. AriBio is currently conducting a global Phase 3 clinical trial of AR1001 with 1,500 participants across 13 countries. Fred Kim emphasized, “The exclusive licensing agreement with Arcera clearly demonstrates the value and market potential of AR1001, our oral treatment in development for Alzheimer’s disease.” Meanwhile, AriBio is currently in the process of merging with the listed company Solux, with the merger date scheduled for August 26.
