AlgiPharma’s medicinal alginate product gains Orphan Drug Status for Cystic Fibrosis Treatment

AlgiPharma’s medicinal product “Alginate oligosaccharide (G-block) fragment” has been designated as an orphan medicinal product for the following indication: treatment of Cystic Fibrosis. The European Medicines Agency’s Committee for Orphan Medicinal Products recommended that AlgiPharma’s application be accepted by the Commission of the European Communities.
