Jecho (Tianjin) Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd. ("Jechobio") has announced that its JLM019 program has been officially included in the 2025 Tianjin Municipal Major Special Project for Biomedical Science and Technology. The project — “Phase I Clinical Study of JLM019 Injection for Advanced Solid Tumors and Lymphoma” — is led by Jechobio in partnership with Jecho (Shanghai) Institute Co., Ltd. (“Jecho Institute”), following the public release of the approved project list by the Tianjin Municipal Science and Technology Bureau. This designation as a key municipal-level science and technology initiative not only recognizes the clinical value of JLM019 Injection, but also underscores Jechobio’s robust R&D capabilities and technical excellence in innovative drug development. Co-developed by Jechobio and Jecho Institute as a Class 1 innovative drug, JLM019 Injection is a first-in-class CD80/PD-1 bispecific Fc fusion protein therapy worldwide. Its core innovation lies in a dual synergistic mechanism: it precisely blocks immunosuppressive pathways while delivering co-stimulatory signals, opening a new paradigm for cancer treatment. Preclinical data have robustly validated its remarkable therapeutic potential. Beyond exhibiting broad-spectrum anti-tumor activity across multiple solid tumor models, the candidate delivers breakthrough efficacy in PD-L1-negative and PD-1-resistant mouse models. It also induces durable immune memory in vivo, which intrinsically reduces the risk of tumor recurrence and brings new treatment hope to patients with refractory malignancies. Prior to this municipal award, JLM019 Injection had already secured clinical trial approval from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) for advanced malignant tumors, supported by its unique mechanism of action and solid research data, with first patient enrollment scheduled to launch in the near term. Its inclusion in Tianjin’s major biomedical special program serves as dual validation of both its clinical value and innovation potential. Tianjin’s Major Biomedical Science and Technology Special Program focuses on core technology breakthroughs and integrated industrial innovation. The approval of Jechobio’s leading project is a powerful testament to the company’s R&D strength, and also exemplifies how the local industrial innovation ecosystem fuels enterprise growth. Going forward, Jechobio will continue to deepen its focus on innovative oncology therapies, accelerate the translation of R&D outcomes, and deliver new hope to patients through scientific and technological innovation.
