ROVI –Agreement with Hikma to distribute and market its Enoxaparin biosimilar across MENA countries 1 For further information: Investor Relations (Tel: +34 91 244 44 22) Marta Campos Martínez [email protected] ROVI announces the agreement with Hikma to distribute and market its Enoxaparin biosimilar Madrid, 24th April 2018 – Laboratorios Farmaceúticos Rovi SA (ROVI:SM) announces that it has signed a licensing agreement with the multinational pharmaceutical group Hikma Pharmaceuticals PLC (Hikma, Group) (LSE: HIK) (NASDAQ Dubai: HIK) (OTC: HKMPY) (rated Ba1 Moody’s / BB+ S&P, both stable) for the exclusive distribution and marketing of its Enoxaparin biosimilar across 17 MENA1 (Middle East and North Africa) countries: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Algeria, Egypt, Tunisia, Sudan, Syria, Yemen, Iraq, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Libya, Palestine and Lebanon. Rovi’s Enoxaparin sodium is a biosimilar to Sanofi’s Lovenox® and Clexane®, which is an anticoagulant medication that belongs to low molecular weight heparin class. It is used to treat and prevent deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism. As of March 2018, Rovi had achieved national authorization for their biosimilar of E noxaparin in 16 European markets, and has commence marketing in Germany and UK.
