Avobis Bio Announces Enrollment Completion of STOMP-II Phase 2 Clinical Trial of AVB-114 in Patients with Crohn’s Perianal Fistula

Avobis Bio is pleased to announce that it has completed enrollment of the STOMP-II phase 2 clinical trial of AVB-114 ( NCT04847739 ) for the treatment of Crohn’s Disease perianal fistula. A total of 48 subjects at 14 sites were randomized 1:1 to AVB-114 or standard of care, with a 9-month primary endpoint of combined clinical and radiological remission of the treated fistula. Primary endpoint data is expected to be available Summer 2025. If confirmed eligible, control subjects may receive AVB-114 treatment after the primary endpoint follow-up. AVB-114 treatment of all remaining subjects is anticipated to be complete Spring 2025. “We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of subject enrollment in our Phase II clinical trial for AVB-114,” said Tiffany Brown, PhD, CEO of Avobis Bio. “This marks a significant step forward in our mission to transform life for patients with debilitating conditions by harnessing the power of implantable biology.
