Lotus Pharmaceutical completes acquisition of Uro-Vaxom® marketing authorisation in South Korea

The transfer of the marketing authorisation for Uro-Vaxom® in South Korea to Alvogen Korea, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lotus Pharmaceutical, has now been completed, marking the final milestone in the strategic partnership announced in May 2026. Uro-Vaxom® is an oral bacterial lysate for the prevention of recurrent urinary tract infections. The product has a well-established clinical profile, is marketed in more than 50 countries, and reached more than one million patients globally in 2025. The completion of the transfer represents an important milestone in the partnership between OM Pharma and Lotus Pharmaceutical. Through this partnership, patients with recurrent urinary tract infections in South Korea will continue to have access to an important preventive treatment option. OM Pharma will continue to manufacture the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) for the South Korean market at its biotech site in Meyrin, Switzerland.
