Every month, we spotlight a scientific publication that contributes to advancing osteoarthritis research. For this first edition, we are proud to feature a study co-authored by Prof. francis berenbaum , Chief Medical Officer of 4Moving Biotech, and an international team of collaborators. Initially presented at OARSI 2026, this work is now published online in Osteoarthritis and Cartilage and available for the scientific community to read. The study explores the effects of liraglutide in advanced 3D human osteoarthritic chondrocyte models, providing new insights into its ability to modulate inflammatory responses while supporting cartilage matrix homeostasis and anabolic activity. These findings further strengthen the scientific rationale for investigating GLP-1 receptor agonists as potential disease-modifying therapies for osteoarthritis. “Progress in osteoarthritis begins with a deeper understanding of the biology driving the disease. Every new piece of evidence helps shape the therapies of tomorrow.” Prof. Francis Berenbaum, MD, PhD, Chief Medical Officer, 4Moving Biotech 📖 We invite clinicians, researchers and everyone interested in osteoarthritis innovation to discover the full publication: https://lnkd.in/eMrvzf5U Eda Ciftci, Sophie C.
