Professor Francis Berenbaum highlighted new advances in osteoarthritis research at ACR Convergence 2025

Professor Francis Berenbaum, Chief Medical Officer of 4Moving Biotech, was honored to participate in ACR Convergence 2025, the annual meeting of the American College of Rheumatology, as both an Invited Speaker and an Oral Presenter. During his invited lecture, “GLP-1 Agonists in Osteoarthritis: Preclinical Studies,” Professor Berenbaum highlighted emerging preclinical evidence supporting the therapeutic potential of GLP-1 receptor agonists in osteoarthritis and their promise as a new disease-modifying approach. He also presented the oral abstract “Intra-articular liraglutide halts osteoarthritis progression, surpassing dexamethasone in synovial and cartilage protection,” showcasing compelling preclinical results supporting the potential of GLP-1 receptor agonists to target both inflammation and cartilage degradation.
